For the ninth edition of Men’s Health Urbanathlon, this unique race that features challenging obstacles along the route including some surprises, will take place in Nuvali grounds, Sta. Rosa, Laguna. This will enable the placement of bigger and more complicated structures that will provide safety but harder obstacles that will make this year’s edition more challenging and fun. A total of nine different obstacles are prepared for the participants to climb and crawl through including barriers of tires, scaffold maze, container van, low crawl, monkey bars, the military up and under, the network, rope shimmey, and the 8-foot wall.

Training Plan Featured in Men’s Health Magazine
The September issue of Men’s Health Magazine features among others a training plan in order to tackle the obstacles and the run of Men’s Health Urbanathlon. It is not an easy task to take on 9 obstacles which requires a good amount of upper body strength and core integrity in order to successfully overcome. Not to mention the fact that you need the cardio-pulmonary strength to comfortable cover the race distance. With hunk Derek Ramsey on its cover, this issue will surely give you all the necessary skills for this year’s urbanathlon, not to mention, articles on how to be as good looking a Derek yourself!
An Obstacle Aquaintance Day With Coach Joar!
Not everybody are capable of blazing through obstacles during their run. For most of us, this is our first. So in order to better gauge our present physical fitness in tackling these obstacles, Coach Joar will guide us through them. He will give us techniques on how to deal with them and what preparation we need to do in order to manage them.
